This page covers the haxa.is website: what it stores in your browser, why, and how to change your mind.
The choice you made when you arrived
When you first opened the site, a notice asked whether we may use analytics cookies. Your
answer is kept in your browser’s local storage under the name haxa-consent, with the time
you gave it, so the notice does not return on your next visit. It is not sent anywhere. It is
strictly necessary, so it needs no consent of its own.
Cookies set with your permission
If you allowed analytics, Google Analytics 4 sets two cookies on haxa.is:

What we see is totals: which pages are read, where people arrive from and on what device. Google processes the data within the European Economic Area where it offers that, and may transfer it to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
If you chose only the necessary
No cookie is set and no identifier is stored. The site still counts the visit with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookie, and Google Analytics receives a request that carries no cookie and cannot recognise you again.
Cookies set with your marketing permission
If you allowed marketing, LinkedIn’s Insight Tag runs on haxa.is so we can see which of our LinkedIn ads bring people here:

LinkedIn also reads its own cookies on linkedin.com when the tag loads. LinkedIn processes the data in Ireland and may transfer it to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Without your marketing permission the tag does not load and none of this happens.
Google and Meta advertising cookies are not set today. When either is added, this page changes first and the notice asks you again.
Changing your choice
This clears the choice stored in your browser and reloads the page, so the notice asks again. It does not remove Google’s cookies by itself: declining next time stops them being set again, and your browser’s own settings remove the ones already there.
